Session Six: The Return of the Old Ones...?
[2024/09/26 15:16] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Excuse this one for a moment please
[2024/09/26 15:18] Sonja Bikergrrl: I'm missing a log, it seems...
[2024/09/26 15:21] Sonja Bikergrrl: Found it... FFS.
[2024/09/26 15:22] Sonja Bikergrrl: we all here? Anyone NOT here?
[2024/09/26 15:23] Sonja Bikergrrl: should have music but I'm too brain dead to fire it up
[2024/09/26 15:24] Sonja Bikergrrl: while breaking travel for the night the party learnt that out new alien friend can indeed communicate readily, a fact she was careful to conceal until Mecha provoked her
[2024/09/26 15:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: she is, apparantly, hunted by "powerful vengeance band"
[2024/09/26 15:25] Sonja Bikergrrl: but has no clear idea on what to do
[2024/09/26 15:25] Mecha (alicia.frakture): hehe provoked
[2024/09/26 15:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana suggested double watches... just to be safe... our guest does have an evil aura.
[2024/09/26 15:26] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: sounds like a good idea to me
[2024/09/26 15:26] Sonja Bikergrrl: Also present: weapons master Porphorin, and non-com cleric Joan, on the way to her village of Arc
[2024/09/26 15:28] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha will take first watch
[2024/09/26 15:29] Sonja Bikergrrl: Sapphire... you have a stone, and a spear that's clearly magic. Inscibed with "Britney" on the shaft. 3x potions of goblin healing... a magic book that should benefit anyone who needs a higher dexterity (single use) and a Forbidden Tome (and Forbidden Knowledge: ...did I not write that down? I recall it being 3%)
[2024/09/26 15:30] Sonja Bikergrrl: Mecha: you got some sort of rod, a pearl that seems to require disolving and imbibing... if you dare
[2024/09/26 15:31] Sonja Bikergrrl: Dina has a Physicians Pendant and 1x Goblin Healing
[2024/09/26 15:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand with all that said... GGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTIIIIIIINNNGSSSSSSSSSSSS Adventurers! Other players get attacked by alien monstrosities and their throats slit as they sleep... you... will be fine, I'm sure ;)
[2024/09/26 15:32] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: 3% FK sounds about right
[2024/09/26 15:32] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: And I recall not wanting to have the temple identify the spear on the theory they would then confiscate it
[2024/09/26 15:32] Sonja Bikergrrl: Its' late at night, you've camped, et... who's doing what?
[2024/09/26 15:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: I don't remember that....
[2024/09/26 15:33] Sonja Bikergrrl: pretty sure you got it ID'd as a Spear +2
[2024/09/26 15:35] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha is still taking first watch. Gives her a chance to exercise
[2024/09/26 15:35] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana: "I'll take first as well."
[2024/09/26 15:36] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: thus Debben on second watch
[2024/09/26 15:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: Porphorin: "This one has a meditation technique for Leesha. This one will set out the mats."
[2024/09/26 15:36] Sonja Bikergrrl: And Dahlia
[2024/09/26 15:37] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): sits on the wagon and relaxes watching the open sky
[2024/09/26 15:37] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Meditation is good as well
[2024/09/26 15:38] Sonja Bikergrrl: That bizarre "lens" effect is quite noticeable in the sky as the stars come out.
[2024/09/26 15:39] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra doesn't pay it much attention, just settles in the cart and stretches out to rest
[2024/09/26 15:40] Sonja Bikergrrl: Porphorin: "This one suggests focusing on stone. Stone is hard, strong..."
[2024/09/26 15:41] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): flies up into a tree near to just watch the stars but ignores the watchful lens
[2024/09/26 15:41] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha does just that
[2024/09/26 15:41] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "It is if it's a granite or a rhilite or a chert, sure. Limestone and sandstone and claystone break apart pretty easily...."
[2024/09/26 15:42] Sonja Bikergrrl: The stars don't seem about to do anything. At least the stars are still stars. Funny, the wizards all say they are flaming balls of gas millions of miles away, but everyone knows they're just holes in the sky dome.
[2024/09/26 15:43] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Meh everything is gas with wizards
[2024/09/26 15:44] Sonja Bikergrrl: Time passes and the watch is changed. Not a lot happens and soon the sun is peeking over the horizon. It looks like being another day.
[2024/09/26 15:44] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: The dwarves know them to be gemstones embedded in the sky, but that's pretty similar to the holes theory.
[2024/09/26 15:45] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: By the later part of her watch Debben has drifted to studying from her spellbooks and ritual books
[2024/09/26 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: Spell points are regained for all, and everyone has max hit points.
[2024/09/26 15:46] Sonja Bikergrrl: What's for breakfast?
[2024/09/26 15:47] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha begins cooking once awake, making sure to use the last of the eggs so they don't go bad. toasting some bread, adding honey to it for Dahlia, but eggs sausage and potatoes.. We are out of eggs now
[2024/09/26 15:48] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: "We can restock when we make it to the village."
[2024/09/26 15:49] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana studies a map carefully. "Looks like we'll pass some distance from Castle Shadowgate, and Arc is further east than that. Mirkwood is to the North... you'll not starve but eggs might be scarce."
[2024/09/26 15:49] Mecha (alicia.frakture): That's fine. We can keep an eye out for fresh fruit, apples and such until then
[2024/09/26 15:50] Sonja Bikergrrl: Joan: "I'll be taking the road to Arc when we get there. It's been, uhm, eventful travelling with you. Promise me you'll visit on your way back, after you're done with your mission!"
[2024/09/26 15:50] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Food is ready
[2024/09/26 15:51] Sonja Bikergrrl: Katana tends to the horse, and Valyra watches the breakfast with a curious expression. Again, she eats readily enough, but starts to wince a little after.
[2024/09/26 15:52] Mecha (alicia.frakture): You okay?
[2024/09/26 15:52] Sonja Bikergrrl: Valyra gives you a haughty expression. "Yes."
[2024/09/26 15:53] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha just shrugs."Dahlie, how was breakfast?
[2024/09/26 15:53] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Dhalia I mean
[2024/09/26 15:53] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Actually not just Dahlia, I hope everyone enjoyed it
[2024/09/26 15:53] Sonja Bikergrrl: All but Katana...
[2024/09/26 15:54] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): eating the honey laden bread she would smile and nod enjoying it very much
[2024/09/26 15:54] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: Debben will keep an eye out for their visitor exhibiting indigestion from their "provincial" meals but otherwise leave the irritable lizard person be.
[2024/09/26 15:54] Sonja Bikergrrl: well. And Valyra, going by the somewhat pained looks.
[2024/09/26 15:54] Mecha (alicia.frakture): I gotta get more honey. But heck if we need an easy morning we can do honey on some bread with some apples and sausage
[2024/09/26 15:57] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Leesha does clean up, making sure Tiger gets some meat."I know you can hunt and do it damn well, but what kind of friend would I be to not offer."
[2024/09/26 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: Tiger sniffs the meat, and takes it, almost taking Leeshas' hand with it, and crunches it down quickly.
[2024/09/26 15:57] Sonja Bikergrrl: So, moving on?
[2024/09/26 15:58] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: ye
[2024/09/26 15:58] Mecha (alicia.frakture): /me nods
[2024/09/26 15:59] Sonja Bikergrrl: An hours' travel, and road forks, straight for Mirkwood, right for Arc. Joan: "Here is where we part ways. Don't forget to come by on your way back!"
[2024/09/26 15:59] Mecha (alicia.frakture): Be safe Joan of Arc
[2024/09/26 16:00] Sonja Bikergrrl: Not much to say about her departure; and on we go, another hour or two to another fork in the road and... a -very- disquieting sight indeed.
[2024/09/26 16:01] Mecha (alicia.frakture): /me raises an eyebrow
[2024/09/26 16:01] Sonja Bikergrrl: Sanity checks all round! Roll d%.
[2024/09/26 16:04] Sonja Bikergrrl: and Sapphire
[2024/09/26 16:06] Sonja Bikergrrl: Tiger doesn't do sanity (animal), and Valyra doesn't either (alien). Just the occasional post-breakfast grimace.
[2024/09/26 16:06] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): is an alien too but still gets checks
[2024/09/26 16:07] Sonja Bikergrrl: Technically a human-like alien; you have similiar sensibilities, morals, values, thought processes
[2024/09/26 16:07] ɗίηα ωíƖɗę ღ (kitten.venus): not really at all but will take it
[2024/09/26 16:08] Sonja Bikergrrl: well.... yes.... you don't have wildly different outlooks
[2024/09/26 16:12] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: (( sorry about that delay , 54
[2024/09/26 16:13] MidnightMinion Cyberstar: So what are w discovering distributed along the tree branches?
